I love Krakow. I've been in Poland before. It's a safe place to go out and get home safely. You can attend to free guided tours. You can walk to see the historical places. The weather was so nice but you should still bring some hoodies with you. Krakow is a cheap place there are a lot pf froigner students here. It's a perfect place to have fun thanks to the great clubs
Posted: April 18, 2024Experienced: March, 2024There are lots of amazing historical sights and a cute bunny cafe I recommend. I felt safe all hours of the day and I spent 3 days walking around eating amazing food and taking tours. I recommend all of Poland for a solo trip. It's safe and affordable.
Posted: February 13, 2024Experienced: June, 2023Poland is in my opinion a super safe country to travel, everyone I met there was nice and kind, food is great, not a expensive country and many interesting places to visit. Near Krakow you can visit Auschwitz and Wieliczka mine.
Posted: January 24, 2024I loved Krakow. I felt safe, even during group "pub crawl" until the early morning hours. I participated in a free sightseeing walk and visited Auschwitz, Salt Mine, Wawel Castle and Schindler's Museum.
Posted: October 22, 2023I went to Krakow by myself in January and it was my first ever solo trip. I was 19 years old and I never felt unsafe for a moment. I went on a trip to Auschwitz with GetYourGuide and took part in a free city walk. I also went on a pub crawl, which was very spontaneous, but I had a great time and never felt unsafe. People were very nice and friendly.

History was really rich and i enjoyed long walk around the city. The food was excellent every were and very budget friendly. It also felt very safe everywhere. The visit of a salt mine a little bit out of town was really worth it. I was beautiful and filled with art pieces made out of salt.
Posted: October 8, 2023I had a wonderful trip to Krakow. I enjoyed the atmosphere of this city, visited museums, went to Auschwitz (which I highly recommend), ate amazing food and met people with whom I had a great time. Krakow is a safe and very affordable city. I recommend visiting the Basilica (I spent an hour there to see the beauty inside) and the contemporary art museum.
Posted: October 3, 2023I visited Krakow alone. I went to the Salt Mine and Auschwitz, visited various parks, hills, museums, and of course the city center and historical places. Everything was very beautiful, safe, cheap and charming. Make sure you eat plenty of dumplings.
Posted: September 30, 2023I was walking alone in Krakow and found it to be a very safe and welcoming place. There is so much to do and see. I spent 5 days there, but could have stayed longer. The worst thing that happened to me was that people often stared at me and asked to take photos with me, but I think there are not many travelers in Poland who look like me.
Posted: September 14, 2023I was alone in Krakow and it was great. A very friendly city, easy to get around and safe. Friendly people, good food, and interesting history. I can't say enough good things about this place. I stayed in a wonderful Airbnb near the main square and the train station.

Extremely safe! you can easily walk alone in the evening, use public transportation. I have friends from all around the world being surprised how safe they feel In Krakow and Poland in general. Obviously it’s worth being safe and cautious everywhere, but Poland overall is safe.

I lived in Kraków for 18 years, near Kazimierz, which my parents recall as not safe to go after dark, but this was years ago, now its really safe, i never had any dangerous situation. I used to go to school which was on Kazimierz, so i spent a lot of time there, i can recomend plenty of places to go :))

Love this city, I have been here many times and always the food and culinary experience is impressive and a good value for money. I highly recommend to visit this city. For cultural experience the Salt mines and Auschwitz is also very interesting to see.
Posted: March 10, 2024Krakow became one of my favorite cities. The highlights I recommend visiting: 1. Wawel Castle and Wawel Cathedral 2. St. Mary’s Basilica 3. Auschwitz Concentration Camp (it is very sad, but worth visiting) 4. Old Town Square 5. Jewish Quarter 6. Sukiennice (cloth hall)
