How safe is Morocco?

Morocco is a safe country, but you should still exercise caution during your stay in some cities or areas. It is typically quite safe in the tourist areas and big cities. However, you should definitely do your research about the neighborhoods you're visiting within these large cities. Overall, traveling to Morocco is very safe. The local people are friendly and welcoming.✨😊

Morocco is so far from my country and I haven’t new a lot, so it was my first self trip and a haven not felt safe, I was looking for safe expensive hotels, and searching a lot of information about places and it took a lot of time. During my trip I visited 10 cities and one waterfall village in the mountain. I recommend visiting Marrakesh and Essaouira first, cities in the South of Morocco. Transport is actually modern and popular. You can travel by car, buses, trains. Buses and trains have the same cost -19€. Planes are also available, but not for all cities. Food is delicious. Good quality tasty meat, big variety of fruits and vegetables. I like species, so Moroccan use it always, what is perfect for me. I like so much moroccan bread, traditional pancakes, kuskus, tajine with vegetables or plums.

Great food, kind hearted people, and beautiful scenery! So much to see when visiting and such a peaceful country. Safe and welcoming. Visited Casablanca, Chefchoen, Tangier, and Rabat. Used Airbnb for all locations and rented a car to get around the country. Great experience.

We were in Marrakech for two days and also in Essaouira for three days. We are having very good times. The food is very good, and we found some vegetarian places. The prices are cheaper than in other countries, and everything is fresh. We loved the markets in the streets.

Group travel experience

Went with a group tour but I didnt know anyone so I got the experience of both navigating the country with a guide and other people aaand roaming around the cities alone. Even with a group tour I didnt ever really feel too comfortable but it was fine. Walking around alone was unreal, Marrakesh specifically is the ninth circle of hell. Constant catcalling, pulling, approached by strange men who said terrible things to me (I was dressed appropriately, only my head and arms showing), followed around for ridiculous periods of time. If I went without an agency who booked all the activities and flights I wouldve gone home earlier. Fez and Casablance were similar. Chefchaouen and Essaouira were really pleasant. If you go alone stick to coastal towns and Chefchaouen, avoid Marrakesh like the plague.
